MICRODERMABRASION
What is it?
Microdermabrasion is a process of removing dead and flaking skin cells, usually from the face, to create an immediate improvement in how your skin looks and feels. This process is called exfoliation.
How does it work?
A suction machine pulls fine granules across the skin to remove the unwanted cells. It’s much like using very fine sand paper to smooth out rough surfaces. The gentle abrasive action of the crystals combined with the suction will remove the dead outer layer of cells on your skin and smooth it out.
What can it do?
This exfoliating procedure will make your skin feel clean, healthy, soft, and smooth. It stimulates the production of fresh young skin cells and collagen and helps eliminate fine lines. The gentle “sanding and suction” will help eliminate blocked pores and breakouts. By removing dead useless cells, your skin care products will work quicker and be more effective since there is less blocking them from providing their benefits to deeper living cells.
How do I know if this treatment is right for me?
We offer a free consultation with the licensed aesthetician prior to starting any cosmetic services. She will evaluate your skin, answer any questions, and advise you as to what options she would recommend for you.
How many treatments will I need?
With one treatment your skin will be cleaner, healthier, and feel smoother. Multiple treatments are recommended for more significant, longer-lasting results. If you wish to purchase a series, we have several packages to choose from.
Will it hurt or is there any down time?
Not at all. That’s why microdermabrasion is sometimes called the “lunch time peel”. You will be in and out in less than an hour. Most will leave the office with just a subtle hint of a healthy glow.
What other things can I do to make microdermabrasion work better for
me?
Microdermabrasion is just one part of achieving healthier skin. Our aesthetician will discuss other options available to help you look your best.
